"TT-Line", the ferry line that has been operating at our terminal for the past three years, is increasing the number of routes and from the end of April will open another route to Karslhamn, Sweden.

"Every new route or new cargo is a new opportunity for us. We are ready to accept new cargoes from our long-term partner and to professionally handle the increased number of vessels at our terminal," says Vaidotas Šileika, our CEO, about the new route to be opened by our partners.

"TT-Line's" sailings to/from KKT have grown consistently over the past 3 years. There are now six regular weekly sailings to Treleborg. The new route is planned to have six regular departures to/from the terminal per week.

"The active focus of the ferry line on increasing routes from the Port of Klaipėda is good news for the business segment, as it strengthens the connection with one of Sweden's largest ports and opens up new opportunities for connectivity in south-eastern Sweden," says V.Šileika.

According to the head of KKT, the emergence of additional routes such as the "TT-Line" is a signal of the future vision for development. We are a Lithuanian-owned company that has earned the trust of our international partners through consistent and purposeful work. One of the challenges at the moment is the limited terminal area, so we have ambitious plans for expansion in the southern part of the port.

We have built a modern ferry terminal with modern offices, a passenger hall and a ro-ro cargo yard in the area managed by KKT. Last year we handled 248 "TT-Line" vessels and 57 258 passengers at KKT, an increase of 6% compared to 2021.

KKT is part of the Lithuanian-owned Klaipėda Terminal Group, which brings together companies providing cargo handling, logistics, freight forwarding and ship agency services. In 2022, KKT handled 27% of all cargo ships calling at the Port of Klaipėda and handled 5.8 million tonnes of cargo.
