2025 was a positive year for our terminal
In 2025, we handled 6.8 million tons of cargo, securing our place among the three largest cargo terminals in the Port of Klaipėda.

"After more than 31 years in business, I can say one thing for sure – no two years are the same. Every year brings its own challenges, surprises, and solutions, especially in today's context of geopolitical change," says Vaidotas Šileika, CEO of our terminal.
Although total cargo volumes decreased by a few percent compared to 2024, we view the results positively – the terminal maintained its stable position in the market, and we recorded significant growth in one of the segments.
In 2025, we achieved the following results:
•We handled 6.8 million tons of cargo, 2% less than in 2024, when cargo volumes reached 6.9 million tons;
•We handled 491,277 TEU of containers, compared to 499,129 TEU in 2024;
•Ro-Ro cargo volumes amounted to 1.317 million tons, i.e., 14% more than in 2024;
•We handled 836,000 tons of general cargo, compared to 927,000 tons last year;
•We serviced 1,119 cargo ships.
The largest growth in 2025 was recorded in the Ro-Ro cargo segment, where volumes increased by as much as 14 percent. An important event of the year was the arrival of our largest partner TT-Line's ferry Nils Holgersson and its successful servicing. "This required careful preparation and infrastructure adaptation, but the result showed that the terminal is ready to work with the largest Ro-Ro ships without any additional disruptions," says our manager.
In 2025, we handled 491,277 TEU, which is slightly less than in the previous year. This change was due to geopolitical factors, changes in cargo flows, and the competitive environment at the Port of Klaipėda. "Although container handling decreased, this year was very important in terms of quality. The terminal welcomed a new container line, ONE, and we also served the largest container ship in the history of the terminal," emphasizes our manager.
The general cargo segment also saw a slight decrease in volume compared to 2024, mainly due to the withdrawal of certain transit cargoes, such as ferroalloys from Kazakhstan, from the Port of Klaipėda. Nevertheless, the year was marked by exceptional and technologically complex projects. We implemented non-standard loading schemes at the terminal – for the first time, fertilizers were unloaded from containers delivered by ships, stored, and loaded back onto ships. We also successfully serviced a ship carrying 42,000 tons of fertilizer, carrying out direct bulk cargo packaging into big bags. "These projects have once again proven that KCT is a universal terminal that can adapt to the needs of various cargoes and customers," notes V. Šileika.
For the seventh consecutive year, our terminal has been ranked among the top 15% of the strongest companies in Lithuania. This assessment reflects the company's positive economic situation and financial results, as well as its contribution to the development of the Lithuanian economy and honest business culture.
