We invested in warehouse renewal
We completed a warehouse renewal project worth EUR 840,000. Over a period of four months, we renovated seven of the 24 warehouses at the Ro-Ro and general cargo terminal. The roofs and walls of the warehouses were replaced, and the total renovated area is 20,000 square meters.
The warehouses have been in service for more than 15 years, having been commissioned in 2010. The roofs and walls had deteriorated due to natural weather conditions, so we decided to invest in their renovation," says Vaidotas Šileika, our terminal manager.
When renovating the warehouses, we chose modern roofing that is adapted to the maritime climate and has anti-condensation properties – the condensate that forms does not fall on the stored cargo.
"The new technology-based roofing solution prevents moisture from affecting the cargo, which is extremely important for our specific activities. This choice reflects our consistent commitment to investing in reliable infrastructure tailored to customer needs," emphasizes V. Šileika.
We currently operate a total of 37 warehouses, 24 of which are located in the Ro-Ro and general cargo terminal, with a total area of 34,000 square meters. Closed terminal warehouses are used for loading and storing bulk cargo, such as fertilizers or agricultural products (wheat, barley, corn, etc.).
The warehouse modernization project was implemented by the construction contractor Aldasta.
