The largest TT-Line ferry begins regular service

TT-Line has assigned its longest ferry, the Nils Holgersson, to our Ro-Ro and general cargo terminal. The ferry, which sails to Karlshamn and Travemünde, will call at the terminal every Sunday.

"The start of regular arrivals of TT-Line's largest ferry indicates that cargo and passenger traffic to and from Klaipėda is growing. We are ready to take on this challenge and ensure the highest quality of service," says Vaidotas Šileika, CEO of our terminal.

Launched in 2022, the 230-meter-long ferry can carry 4,000 linear meters of cargo and is powered by liquefied natural gas.

The ship has 220 cabins and can carry up to 700 passengers. Three of the nine decks are dedicated to cargo and other vehicles, while the upper decks feature cabins, a reception area, a panoramic bar, a shop, a gaming area, a children's cinema, a gym, two saunas, and crew quarters.

The ship is named after the main character in the popular children's book "The Wonderful Adventures of Nils" by Swedish author Selma Lagerlöf.
