Container terminal operates a pre-registration system for vehicles

From now on, containers can only be delivered to the terminal (Perkėlos g. 8) or picked up by pre-registering in the VBS system.

The VBS system is designed to avoid queues of freight vehicles and to manage their flow efficiently.

Please note that at the moment, the delay tolerance is 30 minutes. For example: the registration time of the vehicle you are driving is 9 am. 15 min. This means that the arrival time is between 8.45 and 9.45. If you arrive later than the permitted delay time, your registration will be cancelled and you will have to register again.

The introduction of this system is the first phase of the automated gates project. The second phase will involve the upgrade and integration of the container management system with the VBS, the Port Authority's cargo and commodity information system KIPIS and the container terminal management system. The full implementation of the automated gates project is expected by the end of this year.

Important things to know when starting to use the vehicle pre-registration system (VBS):

  1. Register as a new VBS user. You can do so by filling in the data form here

  2. Read the VBS user manual here

  3. Register your arrival at the container terminal here
