Locomotive arrived by sea
Unconventional cargo unit
On September 10 KCT discharged from the vessel a 73 ton railway locomotive delivered from Bari (Italy). The modern machine dedicated for railway quality control and diagnostics was ordered by the rail infrastructure company LTG Infra under their rail infrastructure modernization programme.
The heavy machine of 22 m length was lifted from the deck by of two mobile cranes and it took two heavy duty reach-stackers to move it from the quay. KCT personnel once again had a chance to demonstrate their expertise in synchronic lifting operations.
On customer’s order the locomotive was transported to KCT railway tracks and loaded on the rails for further delivery to final destination.
